Save a Project

StandOut DataViz provides two ways to save your project:

  1. The Save Project As function allows you to choose from one of two format types:

    • The .adv format contains pointers to the data sources. If you send this project to others, they must have rights to access the data.

    • The .advm format contains embedded data that is compressed and encrypted. Because user rights are not an issue with this format, you can send this project to anyone with StandOut DataViz software as a standalone file.

  2. The Save function saves your project in the same format it was opened from.

Using the Save Project Option to Save the Project for the First Time

  1. Click Save Project button from the File Ribbon.

  2. In the Save StandOut DataViz Project dialog box that displays, enter the project name or choose from projects displayed.

  3. Click OK.

Using the Save Project Option to Save the Project After The Initial Save

  1. Click Save Project button from the File Ribbon.

  2. Click OK. When the message displays asking if you want to replace the current file, click Yes.
