File Ribbon
StandOut DataViz Author comes with a number of ribbons, each focused around specific tasks. The File ribbon focuses around tasks related to the project file. These include tasks such as saving projects, loading existing projects, and utilizing termplates.
Project Section

Start Menu. Displays the start page.

Save Project Saves the project in with the current name and format (adv or advm).

Save Project As Save the project with the selected name and format (adv or advm).
- The StandOut DataViz Project File (adv) format contains a pointer to a data source. If you send this project to others, they must have rights set to access the data.
- The StandOut DataViz Project File, Embedded Data (advm) format contains embedded data that is compressed and encrypted. Because user rights are not an issue with this format, so you can send this project to anyone as a standalone file.

Close Project Closes the current project but not the StandOut DataViz Author. If the project has not been saved prior to closing, you are prompted to save the project.

Open Project Displays a list of existing StandOut DataViz projects from which to select. See Opening an Existing StandOut DataViz project for more information.

New Project When you select this option, a new Page tab appears in the workspace. A page displays a combination of multiple charts.
Templates Section

Template Library Displays the Template Library. See Template Library for more information.

Import Templates A template library file is denoted by its .asl file extension. Selecting this menu option displays the Import Template File dialog box. Select a template file from the list displayed and click Open.

Export Templates A template library file is denoted by its *.asl file extension. Select this menu option to display the Export Template File dialog box. Select a template file to export from the list displayed and click Open.
